Dr. Mark Rossi

Hi! My name is Mark and I am a current veterinary student at the University of Guelph Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program approaching graduation in the spring of 2022. I grew up in Waterloo and have a passion for all creatures big and small. I grew up in Waterloo, ON and have wanted to pursue an animal-biology-related career my entire life since my Dad introduced me to James Harriot and Charles Darwin. I attended Wilfrid Laurier University in my hometown of Waterloo for my undergraduate degree, worked at a poultry farm, and pursued a Master’s degree in fish physiology at Laurier, all before shifting to the University of Guelph to complete my DVM degree at Guelph. My interests are sparked by collaborative client relationships, the animal-human bond, orthopedic surgery, forward-thinking, and competent multi-species knowledge in primary care, medical case management, and ongoing learning. I am extremely excited to begin practicing at Upper Canada where I am looking forward to building a collaborative, team-work oriented approach aimed at making you and your loved ones as happy, healthy, and comfortable as can be!
