Dr. Jessica Dickie

I am originally from the Greater Toronto Area and moved to the University of Ottawa for my undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences with a keen interest in medicine. While completing my Bachelor’s degree, I volunteered in an veterinary clinic in the GTA and realized that veterinary medicine was everything I was looking for in a profession. Being a veterinarian would allow me to practice high quality medicine, continuously learn, provide care for animals of all shapes and sizes, and strengthen the human animal bond. I then returned to southern Ontario to attend the Ontario Veterinary College and will be graduating in Spring of 2022. I am particularly passionate about companion animal soft-tissue and orthopedic surgery and post-operative care spending much of my clinical year of veterinary school focusing on this area.

While I love to work with dogs and cats in the clinic, I also have a special interest in reptiles. I share my home with my rescue dog Lilly, my rescued ball python, and my leopard gecko. When I am not at work, I enjoy playing sports, camping, rock climbing, hiking, and spending quality time with friends and family.
