Dr. Jackie Gallienne
After working as an ER veterinarian at local veterinary emergency clinics for a few years, I started at Upper Canada Animal Hospital for a change of pace starting in 2021. I am so proud to be part of this team; not only is there a positive environment throughout the clinic, we are all dedicated to provide thorough, compassionate care for pets and their owners. It has always been important to me to diagnose, treat, and help prevent illnesses in pets as if they were my own.
Although I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine, I have a special interest in emergency medicine, oncology, and ultrasound. I have a particular soft spot for senior pets and have myself adopted multiple animals in their “retirement” years.
In terms of education, I have completed an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences Honours program at the University of Guelph (2010), followed by a Masters of Science graduate degree in Veterinary Oncology at the University of Guelph Department of Pathobiology (2013), and then Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree graduating with distinction from the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph (2019).
In my free time, I enjoy paddleboarding and hiking with my very sweet black lab, Ruby.
